VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Help Willie Dixon's Blues Heaven Foundation promote, protect, and preserve Blues, and the legendary Chess Records building. Make a difference by volunteering for some very worthy causes, all while having a great time at this historic landmark.

Unique opportunities include:

Artifacts:  Solicit for, collect, organize, catalog, and preserve artifacts.  Develop a rotation and presentation schedule for highlighted displays.

Building and Grounds:  Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and overall good appearance of the building, exhibits, and the Blues Garden.  Develop maintenance schedule and plans as well as staffing.

Community Outreach:  Provide a sustained presence to promote WDBHF to the community at large.  Develop partnerships.  Event Planning. Public Relations. Media Relations. 

Work with Fundraising in new fund development.  

Event Staffing:  Recruit, schedule, train and organize appropriate staffing for all events.

Fundraising:  Develop plans, processes, activities, and events for fund development.

Greeters and Tours:  Conduct tours and develop tour schedules.  Maintain and stock the gift shop and provide retail customer service as well as inventory control.

Scholarships:  Assist in the development, promotion, and selection process in addition to recipient programming and communications.
